Homemade's History

The origin of the traditional homemade recipe.

The HOMEMADE brand was created in 1968, by Baron Von Leitner, who developed the recipe in his small farm in Campos do Jordão, in the highlands of the state of Sao Paulo. At that time, the HOMEMADE Jams were completely made by hand in the small farm, where the fruits used in the traditionally handmade recipes were also cultivated.

The best delicatessen shops in Sao Paulo at that time started to show an interest in the delicious homemade jams made in Campos do Jordão and soon the HOMEMADE Jam conquered consumers all over the state of Sao Paulo.

The HOMEMADE brand was acquired by CICA at the end of the 1970's, which expanded its distribution to the entire country. At the end of the 1990's, after a period of market pulverization and the entry of imported products in the country, two businessmen from Sao Paulo purchased the brand and insisted on rescuing the concept found since the prime times of jam manufacturing, the "homemade" concept, as a form of preserving the true flavor provided by nature.

Currently, the HOMEMADE Jams are made in Itupeva-SP, by following a rigid production quality control standard.
